What is the CCVCC Toolkit?

The CCVCC Toolkit is a printable teaching resource that helps children practise reading and building words with a consonant blend at both the beginning and end, bringing together the skills practised in the CCVC and CVCC levels.

The CCVCC Toolkit and CCVCC Spin Game are designed to work together. The Spin Game provides interactive word-building and sound practice, while the Toolkit provides printable activities that reinforce and extend the same skills.

Bringing the blends together

Use the Toolkit once children are confident with initial and final consonant blends separately, then bring the two together for more advanced decoding practice.
