How it works

Each word-family set includes two styles of Bingo card — picture bingo and word bingo — so you can pick the right challenge level for your class.

Level 1 — Bingo

Give each child a card and some counters, spin the reels on the whiteboard, and children find the matching picture or word on their card. First to cover their card wins.

Level 2 — Word Builder

Children use a pencil or letter tiles to build the word shown for each picture, either by copying the word made on the whiteboard Spin Game or working it out from the picture clue alone.

What is the CVC Toolkit Preview?

The CVC Toolkit is a printable teaching resource designed to work alongside the CVC Spin Game — the Spin Game provides interactive word-building and sound practice, while the Toolkit gives you printable activities that reinforce the same skills on paper.

This free preview covers three word-family sets — ad vs am, id vs ig and ub vs ug — the same three families included in the free CVC Spin Game Sampler, so the two try-before-you-buy previews line up with each other.

• Memory Match: up to four children take turns matching picture cards to the correct word cards.
• Treasure Hunt: place word cards around the classroom — when a word appears on the Spin Game, two children race to find the matching card.
