What is the Vowel Teams Spin Game?

The Vowel Teams Spin Game is an interactive word-building game that introduces children to spelling patterns where two letters work together to make one long vowel sound — like ai, ee, ea and oa.

Three reels — Initial sound, Vowel Team and Final sound — spin independently, so children can build a word one sound at a time and hear exactly how each vowel team is pronounced.

Ten ways to practise

Six modes focus on one vowel team at a time — ai, ee, ea, oa, long oo and short oo — so children can build confidence with each pattern before moving on. A Red Zone Mix and two Mega Mix modes bring several vowel teams together for mixed review once children are ready, and a Free Play mode lets them explore on their own.
