How to Play

1. Choose a level. Level 1 has CCVCC words. Level 2 has short sentences. Then tap the sets you want on the Master Card, or tap All.
2. Choose who’s playing. Two teams or Three teams for a race on the board, or One player for a tablet, phone or computer.
3. Read and look. Read the word or sentence, then look at the picture. Do they match? Tap T for True or F for False.
4. Team games: each team gets the same cards in a different order (three words in Level 1, four sentences in Level 2). Players take turns to come to the board. Every card right first time scores 1 point. When every team finishes, the next set appears. Press ⏯ to pause while the next players come up.
5. One player: one card at a time, at your own pace. A wrong answer gets a gentle nudge to look again. At the end you’ll see the words to practise.
6. Sound: tap the word or sentence to hear it read. Sound it out says the sounds in Level 1 words first, like the spin games (cl… ock… clock). ✖ ends the game, 🔊 turns the spoken words on or off (the game sounds stay on), and ⟳ goes back to the Master Card.

In Level 1 the pictures are mixed up every time you play, so there’s no answer to remember. Just read!
