Every set also has a listen-only Words Relay. The levels build step by step: simple CVC words first, then a blend at the start (CCVC), two consonants at the end (CVCC), and finally longer words with consonants at both ends (CCVCC).
How it works
The word is said twice, a whistle blows, and children race to find the picture, the sound or the word. Tap, then tick to check: green means correct, red means try again.
- Two or three teams: a relay on the whiteboard, each team racing on its own board. The first team to finish gets a bonus star.
- One player: the same stages at their own pace on a tablet or phone.
- Your choice of words: play whole sets, or pick single words from the Master Card, and choose the stages to play.
- Points for every answer right first time, and results that show the words to practise. A mute button is always on screen.
- The PDFs work on the whiteboard or printed, with two teams on every slide, a Teacher's Master Card and Teacher's Choice templates.
